Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)
Course Overview
The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces of India. The CAPF includes the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Age Criteria
The age criteria for the CAPF exam in India are as follows:

Minimum age: 20 years

Maximum age: 25 years
Note: The age relaxation is provided for candidates in reserved categories per government norms.
Qualification Criteria
The qualification criteria for the CAPF exam in India are as follows:

A candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.

Candidates in the final year of their degree can also apply for the exam.
Note: The candidates declared qualified in the written exam will have to produce proof of passing the requisite examination along with their application for the Physical Standards Test/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test.
Exam Syllabus
The CAPF exam consists of two stages: a written exam, a physical standards test, a physical efficiency test, and a medical standards test.
