Course Overview

The Rashtriya Military School (RMS) entrance exam is conducted by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for admission to Class 6th and 9th in five military schools in India. The schools are Ajmer, Bangalore, Belgaum, Chail, and Dholpur. The disciplined environment of the school will foster personal growth, teamwork, and leadership, which will prepare students to achieve their careers in the armed forces.

Age Criteria

The age criteria for the RMS exam in India are as follows:

• For Class 6th: The candidate should be between 10 to 12 years of age as of 31st March of the year in which admission is sought.
• For Class 9th: The candidate should be between 13 to 15 years of age as of 31st March of the year in which admission is sought.

Note: The age relaxation is provided for candidates in reserved categories per government norms.

Qualification Criteria

The qualification criteria for the RMS exam in India are as follows:

• A candidate must be studying in Class 5th or 8th in a recognised school at admission to Class 6th and 9th, respectively.
• The candidate must be medically fit and mentally sound.

Exam Syllabus

The RMS exam is conducted in two stages - Written Exam and Interview

Written Exam

The written exam consists of the following subjects:

• For Class 6th: Mathematics, English, and Intelligence Test
• For Class 9th: Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Science.

Note :The question paper for Class 6th is in English and Hindi, while the question paper for Class 9th is in English only.
